If a car has multiple engine choices, sometimes it’s best with only one of those engines. For example, the Accord and Canry really come alive with a V6, etc.
My question to you: which engine (I4, V6, V8,etc.) goes best with which car?

Factory options only, right?

Sir, Sir! I don’t understand the question.

If you didn’t get this with a V8, personally, I feel bad for you. I’d feel bad for myself too if I didn’t get one with a V8.

Dodge Magnum really works best with the 5.7L. The 6.1L is awesome, but is not a gas saver, while the 2.7L is just garbage and the 3.5L lacks two cylinders that stack it in line with American Muscle cars.
Averaging 20mpg is also a huge bonus for the weight and size of the Magnum.

If you got a six pot I feel bad for you son, I got 32 valves and a sound that will stun. HIT ME.

4Runner of the 90’s: The turbo diesel 4 not available in the U.S. market. Almost as much hp as the weakling V6, but an extra nearly 60 ft lbs of torque available around 2k rpm earlier. Plus, it’s a turbo, I’m sure you can squeeze a few more hp out of it.

Challenger/Charger: the 6.4. while it drinks gas, it’s the sweet spot in the range. it’s still a HOOT to drive; but it won’t kill you like the 6.2 SC will If you aren’t a god behind the wheel.
Mercedes E-class: 2.1L Twin-Turbo Diesel. yes, it's only got 200hp. yes it's a 4-pot 50K luxury car. but it's the recipie that made old benz best benz. lazy diesel, boost, and utmost comfort at 60mph

Hey now....
You’re absolutely right about the 2.7L -_-

As much as I appreciate a good diesel MB, the best engine for any Benz is the one that AMG put together for that model.

I would drive this on the street, I dont care that its unregisterable.

BMW 5-series needs the I6. The 4-cylinder just seems out of place.

LS in everything.

well yeah; but that’s not an “in-house” engine IMO.
it’s kinda like saying the best Porsche is a Ruf-Porsche.

But Ruf is still an independent company. AMG hasn’t been one for a long time now. AMG is simply MB’s in-house tuners, much like BMW M.

C6 Corvette with the 7 liter ls7. The zr1 was too much and the base not quite enough. There’s just something so awesome about a big, free spinning, v8.

Lol rekd m8. I didn't know the m-120 was a 4 valve. Wow

For an S class ? V-12 all the way. It's quiet and understated when needed, OR, you can dust corvettes n things.

Well played, sir.
If you had any valves, maybe you could have made it to the party sooner.
